There are other varieties of the flower, which are actively used by modern growers. Today, you can choose any Eremurus, which, with proper care, will delight with its attractive appearance for many years.

Experienced experts recommend planting a flower in early autumn. A suitable place should be open, well lit by sunlight and have good drainage.

Replant the plant can only be in a neutral soil with low acidity. Flowerbed should be protected from wind blowing. Some varieties of Eremurus, for example, milky-flowered and Altai completely unpretentious to the soil. They are transplanted even on clay, it is enough just to add any baking powder to it. For planting any varieties of plants are not suitable places with a high location of groundwater.

Beforehand it is necessary to properly prepare a suitable soil mixture. To do this, perform the following manipulations:

  1. Gravel or pebbles are laid at the base of the bed before planting, a layer of soil mixture with a thickness of 0.2-0.4 m is placed on top. The greenhouse or sod soil with the addition of humus, coarse sand and small stones is considered the ideal option.
  2. To transplant a plant, it is necessary to dig a hole up to a depth of 15 cm. Its diameter should correspond to the size of the rhizome. Transplantation of hybrids in open ground is carried out at a distance from each other - 0.3-0.6 m. This indicator depends on the height of the flower.
  3. Before planting, keep the rhizome in a weak solution of potassium permanganate for at least 2 hours.
  4. Replanting hybrid varieties of a plant should be carefully monitored so that their tip rises above the ground in the range of 10-15 cm.

When buying seedlings need to carefully study them. As a rule, Kornedonets has a slightly dried appearance. Several buds must be present on it. You should not buy a plant with broken roots, because the new ones will not grow, and in the open field it will simply die. The removal of thin root tips is considered normal.

Breeding

Eremurus can be propagated vegetatively or with the help of seeds. The first method is considered more simple.

Vegetative method

After the ripe seeds fall, the top of the plant dries out. At this time, reproduction of the eremurus should be done by dividing the rhizome. This is done in two ways:

  1. Initially, dig a part of the plant, which is located underground. Kornedontsa carefully separated and placed in a warm dry place to dry. You can plant them in the beginning or middle of autumn.
  2. The rhizome of the Eremurus neatly unearthed. Without removing them from the soil, they are divided into 4 parts with a sharp knife. The incisions made on hybrid varieties are covered with crushed coal, then closed again with earth. Next year, the plant will give many new outlets, which are separated and transplanted.

Seed propagation

Some growers propagate eremurus with the help of seeds, which are immediately sown in flowerbeds. It happens as follows:

  • In August, flower stalks are cut, and laid out under a canopy for full maturation. After that, the seeds are separated and cleaned.
  • At this time, the bed is prepared, the seeds are planted in the excavated groove 15 mm deep.
  • In spring, the first shoots appear that require uncomplicated care. It is necessary to weed weeds, water the plants, feed, loosen the soil. Hybrid seedlings grow rather slowly, they will bloom only for 4 - 5 years.

The flower multiplies by planting seeds in special containers. Saplings do not undergo transplantation for 2 - 3 years. Drying is carried out with the dishes, only after that hybrids are planted on the garden bed. Often, growers who decide to propagate a plant in this way, grow completely new flowers, absolutely unlike the mother.
Eremuruses multiply in different ways, so each gardener independently decides which way is best to choose for himself. Equally important is the correct care of the flower.
